The Świnna Poręba dam is built at the Skawa river. It is an earth dam with a core. The dam is 50 meters high and 640 meters long.

During the dam construction BUDOKOP installed sensors in the dam core.

The following sensors were installed:

• 24 ground pressure measuring pads and 38 pore-water pressure sensors at 4 levels of the core and in 3 mesurement sections,
• 7 piezometers,
• 5 settlement columns.
