Pilchowice dam [TAURON Ekoenergia]
The Pilchowice Dam – Pilchowice I hydropower plant The power plant is the part of The Jelenia Góra Hydropower plant Complex. It was put into operation in 1912 at the Bóbr river. The second highest dam in Poland )62 meters) after the Solina dam. It is 270 meters long.
In 2013 BUDOKOP Ltd designed and installed the Automatic System of Technical Dam Control (ASTKZ) at the dam. Following sensors were installed:
- 28 water pressure sensors and thermometers,
- 12 element dumpy level system,
- 6 digital tilt meters,
- 5 3-axes crackmeters,
- 3 pools of drain waterflow measurements,
- a weather station.
A 100 years old dam is one of the most interesting sights of the dolnośląskie voivodship hence the installation works had to be consulted with the conservator monument.
